Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has earned praise after stepping in during a medical emergency on an EasyJet flight.
The Manchester United midfielder was traveling with teammate Diogo Dalot ahead of Portugal’s Nations League match against Poland.
During the flight, a passenger began to feel unwell and appeared to be losing consciousness.
Fernandes, who was in the back of the plane, immediately responded when a call for help was made.
Passenger Susanna Lawson, who was on her way to a web summit, recalled seeing Fernandes holding the man and assisting him as crew members rushed to help.
Fernandes helped the passenger into an available seat at the back of the plane, stayed with him to ensure he was okay for several minutes, and then quietly returned to his own seat without drawing attention to himself.
Lawson later approached Fernandes to thank him and asked for a selfie.
She described him as very humble, noting that unless passengers knew who he was, they would have thought he was just another traveler.
Fernandes even took the selfie himself, remaining unassuming throughout.
