Chelsea fans have been divided in their opinion on Jose Mourinho’s potential return to Stamford Bridge. Mourinho, who is currently managing AS Roma, had two successful spells at the English club between 2004-2007 and 2013 respectively.
A recent report by Talksport suggested the 60-year-old has already expressed his desire to make a sensational third return to the Premier League club.
His possible return arrives as Chelsea are struggling with form under Graham Potter and are sitting at 10th position in the standings.
Fans have taken to social media to air their opinions about this news.
While some welcome the prospect of a “one last dance” before Mourinho retires from coaching, others pointed out that he might not be the best man for the job.
One admitted: “I’d be excited about the prospect of Jose’s return – especially if Chelsea finishes outside top 4 this season!”
A second added: “One last dance only before he retires.”
Another posted: “Never seen a coach that genuinely loves our club, Mou.”
A fourth observed: “To me. Jose Mourinho is always welcome at Chelsea for now it’s up to the owners to decide whether they want him or not.”
While a fifth argued: “Doesn’t seem the ideal man for a long-term project.”
Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner has emerged as an alternate to take over from Potter if Chelsea decides to fire him.
Glasner has grown in prominence ever since his arrival at Frankfurt back in 2021 and is highly sought after for his managerial skills.
