Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen is reportedly on the verge of leaving the club this summer. The Danish international has struggled to secure regular game time under manager Erik ten Hag, leading to his decision to seek a new club.
Eriksen, who joined United from Inter Milan last year, has found himself lower down the pecking order, with younger players such as Kobbie Mainoo, Scott McTominay, and loanee Sofyan Amrabat being preferred by Ten Hag.
Despite being a regular starter under the former Ajax coach last season, Eriksen has only started 11 out of 20 games this season, managing just one goal and two assists.
The midfielder feels that he is no longer considered a key part of the team and has made it clear that he wants to leave.
With just over a year left on his contract, United may look to cash in on the former Tottenham Hotspur star this summer.
Eriksen’s departure would mark the end of his short-lived spell at Old Trafford, where he struggled to make a significant impact. It remains to be seen which club will be the next destination for the talented midfielder.
