Antonio Conte delivered a powerful message to Spurs fans who have expressed impatience with their team following a series of losses, including the Champions League exit at home against AC Milan on Wednesday.
He urged the supporters to come together, noting: “If you don’t have patience it’s not useful. To win is to create the right atmosphere, the right unity, the right spirit, to be solid, for everybody to have the same idea.”
Conte avoided criticism of the club’s board but pointed out that Richarlison needed to control his behaviour better and stop acting in a selfish way after “an explosive post-Milan interview”.
He also noted that this has been a gruelling campaign for him personally and he is not willing to shoulder all of the stress alone.
