Nigerian singer Darey Art Alade and his wife, Deola, lost their vehicle to a fire on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
NaijNaira learnt the incident occurred on Friday around 4 p.m., with videos later posted by Deola on Instagram showing their vehicle completely destroyed by flames.
“It was a shocking and painful experience, but we’re incredibly grateful that the driver made it out safely. No lives were lost, and that’s what truly matters,” Deola wrote.
She confirmed that although the car was gutted by fire, no one was harmed. Bystanders reportedly offered immediate assistance during the emergency.
Deola reflected on the emotional weight of the moment, noting that material things can be replaced but life cannot. Her message offered comfort to others dealing with unexpected losses, encouraging them to find strength in adversity.
The cause of the fire remains unclear, but emergency response efforts were swift, preventing further damage or injury. The couple expressed gratitude for the support they received during the crisis.
