Dele Momodu says the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has caught the All Progressives Congress, APC, off guard and taken control of the political momentum ahead of 2027, NaijNaira can report.

In a recent interview on Arise News, the Ovation Magazine publisher said the ruling party is already scrambling, after realising it has been outmaneuvered.

Momodu recently exited the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and officially joined the ADC, stating his move aligns with a broader opposition plan.

“I don’t want to mention names, but we all know what’s happening in Nigeria today,” he said.

He described how internal PDP crises since 2022 weakened the party, especially after the fallout of the last presidential race.

“I had zero votes in the primaries, but I remain proud of contesting in 2011 and earning 26,000 votes nationwide,” he said.

Momodu claimed efforts to fix the PDP’s internal issues failed, leaving the party stagnant while the APC rushed into 2027 campaign mode.

“Nobody was ready to campaign while Nigerians are suffering. It’s all about who becomes president again,” he added.

He said the ADC chose to shift strategy, going on the offensive against the APC.

“They’re throwing tantrums because they didn’t expect this,” he said.
