With his victory, Dino Melaye will now face Usman Ododo, the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the gubernatorial election scheduled for later this year.

Dino Melaye, who is a vocal critic of the Bello-led government, has promised to provide a better alternative to the people of Kogi State if elected as governor.
He has criticized the Bello-led administration for what he described as poor governance, non-payment of salaries, and a lack of infrastructure development in the state.

He also called on his supporters to remain steadfast and support him in his bid to win the governorship election.
