BVAS configuration We'll expose wrong imputation, figures changing – Dino Melaye

Dino Melaye, the former Kogi West Senator, has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship candidate in Kogi State after the party’s primary election.

The primary, which was held on Sunday, saw Dino Melaye win with a total of 313 votes.

The returning officer declared him the winner over his closest opponent, Idoko Ilonah, who had 124 votes.

Two other candidates, Awoniyi Sunday and Musa Wada, scored 77 and 56 votes respectively. Dino Melaye’s victory came after a keenly contested primary election, which saw him campaign vigorously across the state.

His campaign was anchored on the promises of providing good governance and a better life for the people of Kogi State.

With his victory, Dino Melaye will now face Usman Ododo, the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the gubernatorial election scheduled for later this year.

The APC is currently the ruling party in Kogi State, with Yahaya Bello as the incumbent governor.

Dino Melaye, who is a vocal critic of the Bello-led government, has promised to provide a better alternative to the people of Kogi State if elected as governor.

He has criticized the Bello-led administration for what he described as poor governance, non-payment of salaries, and a lack of infrastructure development in the state.

Reacting to his victory, Dino Melaye expressed his gratitude to the people of Kogi State and promised to work tirelessly to ensure that he delivers on his campaign promises.

He also called on his supporters to remain steadfast and support him in his bid to win the governorship election.
