Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, believes marriage is more than a union—it is a sacred covenant and one of life’s strongest commitments – www.naijnaira.com reports.
In her words, “Call me old school, but I see marriage as the most powerful partnership in life. Maybe even the most important contract you will ever sign… with God Himself as the witness.”
Her post on X came just days after her younger sister, Temi Otedola, tied the knot with Nigerian singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly called Mr Eazi.
Punch Online confirmed that Temi and Mr Eazi celebrated their marriage with three unique ceremonies across different parts of the world.
The journey began in Monaco on May 9, a date chosen to honor the birthday of Mr Eazi’s late mother.
Two months later, a traditional Yoruba wedding took place at the Otedola family’s residence in Dubai.
The celebrations concluded with a private white wedding in Iceland, a rare and intimate gathering away from the spotlight.
Their engagement had been announced in April 2022, when Temi posted a video of Mr Eazi’s proposal on Instagram.
Cuppy admitted that watching her sister walk into matrimony reminded her that marriage is timeless and not “outdated.”
She further explained that when shared with the right partner, it becomes a journey that strengthens purpose, love, and family.
