Emefiele Reportedly Seeks Plea Bargain with FG in Latest Development

According to sources, the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, has chosen to pursue a plea bargain, resulting in a delay in his court arraignment.

It is reported that Emefiele and his co-accused, Saadat Yaro, have decided to settle with the Federal Government through a plea bargain policy.

The federal government had previously filed a 20-count charge against them, accusing them of breaching procurement laws and inflating contracts.

However, the scheduled arraignment in a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory was not listed on the cause list for Wednesday.
