Despite Arsenal’s commanding lead in the Premier League standings, Gunners’ manager Mikel Arteta insists they won’t get ahead of themselves by declaring a title race victory just yet.
Instead, Arteta has named Brighton as the club that could throw a wrench in Arsenal’s plans and prove most troublesome.
The Seagulls have shown no fear against top teams this season and will provide stern resistance when the North London side meets them on their next fixture.
The Boxing Day victory over West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium extended Arsenal’s lead over Manchester City to seven points.
But with Brighton awaiting, Arteta isn’t taking anything for granted quite yet.
“There is a lot of belief but there is a lot of humbleness as well,” Arteta told talkSPORT.
“Brighton’s going to be a very difficult test, the way they are playing they’re going to make it really hard for us and we’re going to start preparing for that tomorrow,” he said.
