Erik ten Hag has joined Rio Ferdinand in voicing his criticism of Manchester United star Antony’s performances, urging him to be more assertive on the ball.
Ten Hag followed Ferdinand’s criticism of the £86m summer signing, who started brightly with a debut goal before his form dipped in recent weeks.
Despite this dip in form, however, Ten Hag recognise’s the impact Antony can have when on the pitch and defended him for contributing positively to team performances.
Furthermore, Antony himself is quite determined to rediscover his early-season form and vows to give everything he has to honour United.
However, there is a looming fear that he could lose his place in the starting XI come Wednesday evening as teammate Alejandro Garnacho is pushing hard for a start.
