Club Lorient has rejected an offer from Southampton of the English Premier League for Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi.
The bid of £15 million is lower than the valuation Lorient holds for Moffi at approximately £25 million.
Lorient acquired Moffi in October 2020 for eight million euros and intends to recoup their investment by selling him at nearly triple that price.
Having scored 10 goals in 16 appearances in the 2022/2023 French Ligue 1 campaign, Moffi is looking to leave Lorient, but will take his time in making this decision.
He has also been linked to Spanish sides Villarreal and Real Sociedad, with the latter boasting fellow Super Eagles teammate Sadiq Umar on their squad.
This would be Villarreal’s second attempt to sign Moffi after being unsuccessful during their first try in 2022.
