Former member of the House of Representatives from Rivers State, Ogbonna Nwuke, has revealed why Governor Siminalayi Fubara is gaining support from various political groups and individuals in the state.
Nwuke, who represented the Etche/Omuma federal constituency in the National Assembly between 2011 and 2015, emphasized that Fubara’s peaceful disposition is a key factor contributing to his growing popularity. Nwuke made this disclosure during a press conference held in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
He stated that those declaring their support for Fubara are individuals and groups who prioritize stability, progress, and peace in Rivers State.
Nwuke further emphasized that having two governors in a state is not conducive to the overall development and well-being of the state.
The former lawmaker highlighted the importance of unity and the need for all stakeholders to work together for the advancement of Rivers State.
He acknowledged that while it is acceptable for individuals to align themselves with those in Abuja for personal gain, the ultimate goal should be the betterment of the state as a whole.
