Musiliu Odekunle has officially signed a new five-year contract with Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland, NaijNaira can report.
According to FC Midtjylland’s official website, the Nigerian forward will stay at the club until June 2030 following a season packed with standout performances at youth level.
The 19-year-old striker scored 14 goals in 18 matches in the U19 Boys League during the 2024–25 season and also netted against Viborg FF in the Future Cup.
His strong performances in front of goal and commanding physical presence earned him the contract extension, making him one of the club’s most exciting young prospects.
Speaking after putting pen to paper, Odekunle said, “I am very happy. It has been a big goal for a long time to sign a new contract with FC Midtjylland.”
He added, “My first touch has improved and I have worked hard to finish well and at the right times. Before, I just shot without thinking too much about it.”
Odekunle believes he has made clear progress but isn’t stopping yet, as he eyes a breakthrough into the senior squad.
The Nigerian talent developed through FC Ebedei, the club’s Nigerian affiliate, and also featured in four matches during last season’s UEFA Youth League.
