Federal Government Declares May 29, as Work-Free Day

In honor of the inauguration of President-elect Bola Tinubu, the Federal Government has declared May 29, 2023, a work-free day for all workers in Nigeria.

The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, emphasized the importance of promoting democracy through adherence to the rule of law and supporting democratic institutions.

He also urged Nigerians to continue to promote peaceful coexistence and love for their neighbors, while shunning any form of violence.

Aregbesola commended all Nigerians for their efforts in achieving an unbroken civilian rule and successful change of governments since 1999, and encouraged them to support and cooperate with the coming administration.

He believes that the unbounded energy of the people is the nation’s greatest strength and will take the nation to its greatest height when positively deployed in its service.
