Femi Fani-Kayode Backtracks on Claim of Possible PDP Collusion with Military

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Femi Fani-Kayode, a spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress’ Presidential Campaign Council, has expressed remorse for his comment about a possible collusion between some elements in the military and PDP’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.

Mr Fani-Kayode made this known during a press briefing following his encounter with the State Security Services (SSS).

The ex-aviation minister had been called in by SSS after tweeting that meeting of Atiku and some military generals could lead to a coup d’ etat.

He said he was questioned for five hours by SSS over his statement and while he did nothing wrong, he accepts that managing the situation differently could have been better.

He also admitted to not verifying sources when it came to reports of Atiku’s clandestine meeting with military men.

In his words, the decision to not ask the authority first before commenting was regrettable and clouded by “the fog of war”.

On Wednesday, Mr Fani-Kayode is expected back at SSS facility to determine if there are charges pressed against him or not.

Also discussing the matter, another council spokesperson Bayo Onanuga said that legal team had accompanied Mr Fani-Kayode just in case things took an unpleasant turn.

The party is also watching all developments closely from here on out.
