Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker, has received another honour from FIFA after being conferred with the National Award of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic by former President, Muhammadu Buhari.
Osimhen’s impressive performances on the international scene since 2015, including his record-breaking 10 goals in seven matches during the U-17 World Cup in Chile, have earned him numerous awards, including the 2015 CAF Youth Player of The Year prize.
Recently, he helped Napoli win the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years and became the first African to win the Capocannoniere (Serie A Top Scorer Award).
In recognition of his rise to prominence, he was presented with a personalised ball and shift by FIFA official Gelson Fernandes, who praised Osimhen’s love for football and determination and encouraged him to keep pushing.
