Fintech leaders in Nigeria are preparing to launch a new platform designed to connect startups with funding partners across the country — www.naijnaira.com reports.
Scheduled to run from October 7 to 9, 2025, the Nigeria Fintech Week (NFW25) will bring together over 20,000 stakeholders from various sectors across the African tech space, according to Leadership News.
Themed “The Fintech Ecosystem Symphony: Orchestrating Nigeria’s Digital Future”, this year’s conference marks its 8th edition with a focus on deep collaboration among government bodies, private companies, investors, and startups.
NFW25 will emphasize how unified strategies can push the boundaries of financial inclusion and digital transformation throughout Africa.
Since 2017, the event has been central to regulatory progress, startup funding, and major ecosystem discussions shaping the fintech scene on the continent.
In a shift from previous formats, NFW25 will take place in multiple cities — Abuja, Delta, and Enugu — while Lagos will remain the primary host location.
This move aims to make participation easier for people in different regions and recognize fintech’s growing footprint in all parts of Nigeria.
“We’re no longer just an association; we are a movement,” said Dr. Stanley Jacob, president of the Fintech Association of Nigeria.
“NFW25 is where partnerships will be born, sectors will be reimagined, and Nigeria’s digital economy will be orchestrated like a grand symphony,” he added.
Dr. Jameelah Sharrieff-Ayedun, vice president and chair of the organising committee, explained the multi-city model was introduced to reach new communities and unlock ideas from underrepresented regions.
“Fintech is no longer for a select few. From the aviation sector to agriculture, from secondary school students to startup founders, this year, everyone has a seat at the table,” she said.
According to Uche Uzoebo from SANE, “Whether you’re a startup, policymaker, enterprise, student, creative or influencer, developer, or fintech enthusiast, your voice matters in this symphony.”
She added that even schools, religious institutions, and food businesses are beginning to digitize, and NFW25 offers them a space to find direction and collaborators.
