Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will take on Colombia, Saudi Arabia, and Norway in Group F of the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2025, as confirmed during Thursday’s official draw in Santiago, Chile. The tournament is scheduled to run from September 27 to October 19, with matches set to be played in four cities — Santiago, Rancagua, Valparaíso, and Talca.
This marks the second time Chile will host the youth competition, the first being in 1987 when Yugoslavia edged out West Germany in a dramatic penalty shootout final.

Nigeria is one of four African nations participating in the global youth competition, alongside South Africa (Group E), Morocco (Group C), and Egypt (Group A). The Nigeria U20 team, currently holding the WAFU B title, will be aiming to build on their third-place finish at the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations.
Head coach Aliyu Zubairu’s squad is faced with a tough group in what promises to be a highly competitive tournament. Colombia are known for their aggressive and technical approach. Norway bring European tactical structure, while Saudi Arabia’s speed and resilience make them dangerous opponents.
