Former Manchester United star Wes Brown, who used to earn a whopping £50,000-a-week during his playing days, has been declared bankrupt at the High Court.
The bankruptcy petition was filed by HMRC on February 27 and was approved in April.
Brown retired from football five years ago and the report doesn’t mention how he ended up in this situation, although it does state that he recently went through a divorce.
Brown had a successful career at Man United, making 362 appearances and winning numerous titles, including five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two League Cups, and two Champions Leagues.
