Ten people have been killed, with several still missing, in a fresh terror attack by unidentified assailants on the Langson community in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Four other people sustained injuries during the attack.
Reports suggest that the incident happened at about 9pm on Tuesday, and was preceded by an earlier attack on Ungwan Wakili where 17 lives were lost.
The President of the Atyap Community Development Association, Mr Sam Achie, has since called for increased military presence in the area to ensure protection against further attacks.
He also expressed his concern about attempts to disenfranchise local people from voting in the coming elections and maintained that the government had been quiet on the matter.
Meanwhile, Zango Kataf Local Government Chairman Mr Francis Sani has urged the government to deploy more security personnel to arrest the spate of brutality around their region and protect innocent lives and property.
