Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey has just wrapped up one of his best seasons with Fulham. Fulham finished 11th in the Premier League last season, collecting 54 points.
Bassey and Alex Iwobi were among Fulham’s most reliable players throughout the campaign.
Iwobi delivered his strongest league season, scoring nine goals and adding six assists in 38 appearances.
Bassey played a vital role in Fulham’s defense, featuring in 35 Premier League games and scoring once.
His impressive displays earned him Fulham’s Player of the Year award.
Football analyst Dean Jones shared that Fulham are keen to hold on to Bassey this summer.
“The Cottagers are ready to keep Bassey, even if other clubs come calling,” said Jones.
Bassey still has two years left on his contract, along with an option for a one-year extension.
His time at Ajax was challenging, so he is expected to carefully consider his next move.
So far, no clubs have made an official approach, but teams across Europe looking to strengthen their defense may soon take notice.
Fulham are open to offers but will only consider bids that match Bassey’s €25 million market value, according to Transfermarkt.
