Following Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League elimination by Real Madrid, Daniel Levy is reportedly looking towards potential replacements for Antonio Conte at the end of this season.
Spurs have not won a trophy since back in 2007-08, and with them currently sitting fourth in the Premier League table, 18 points behind leaders Arsenal, it looks unlikely that they’ll be able to break their 15-year dry spell any time soon.
As such, Levy has allegedly drawn up a five-man list of managers who are set to replace Conte when his contract expires.
Mauricio Pochettino is said to top that rankings due to his great work during his first tenure at Tottenham – but Levy is still yet to be convinced by the idea of rehiring him after sacking him only four years ago.
Thomas Tuchel has also been mentioned as one of the contenders; however due to speculation that he may return to Paris Saint-Germain if Christophe Galtier departs the club, he may not actually be available for Levy.
In addition, Luis Enrique has recently being linked after stepping down from Spain amid their World Cup exit against Morocco last summer.
The other two names on Levy’s list include Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Fulham’s Marco Silva – despite Frank already ruling himself out due to his loyalty and admiration for Conte.
Nevertheless, Spurs will still be pushing ahead with Saturday’s game home against Nottingham Forest as no changes are expected just yet – even with their manager Steve Cooper also not being in contention for the eventual vacancy.
