During the 4th Combined Convocation of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai, two overall best graduates were offered employment as Graduate Assistants and will be trained up to PhD level.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abu Kasim-Adamu, announced the news at the convocation Square of the university in Lapai.
Aisha Mohammed-Egbako of the Animal Production Department, with a CGPA of 4.85, was the overall best-graduating student in the 2019/20 academic session, while Yahaya Mahmud Baba, of the Department of Food Science and Technology, with a CGPA of 4.90, was the overall best-graduating student in the 2020/2021 academic session.
The university also awarded degrees to 37 students with First Class Degrees, 954 students with Second Class Upper, 3,283 students with Second Class Lower, 1,518 students with Third Class, and 17 Students with Pass degrees.
The institution has created six centers to enhance research, innovation, and patency, and has awarded honorary doctorate degrees to different personalities, including Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau and retire Col. Sani Bello, Chairman, Mainstream Energy Solutions.
