The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is determined to prosecute former Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, for an alleged N5bn fraud.

According to the ICPC, Ojerinde used false names, aliases, and forged documents to carry out corrupt practices through various bank accounts.

Despite a recent ruling by the Federal High Court ordering the ICPC to pay Ojerinde N1m in damages for his re-arrest, the ICPC has rejected the ruling and plans to challenge it at the Court of Appeal.

The ICPC maintains that Ojerinde’s re-arrest was based on a valid warrant issued by the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court.
