Arsenal have been linked with summer move for talented Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga.
The 20-year-old midfielder has impressed in his first season of senior football, having been a part of the B team previously and is touted to make it big soon.
Newcastle United and Manchester United are also allegedly interested in acquiring his services, but Arsenal seem to be leading the race.
Celta Vigo reportedly want a fee of around €30million (£26.5million) to part ways with their prized asset which is just shy of his €40million (£35million) release clause.
Veiga has enjoyed an impressive run in the 2020/2021 La Liga campaign, scoring 6 goals and providing 2 assists in 21 appearances so far and it is being suggested that he could potentially become one of Spain’s next highest profile players as he already holds a cap at U21 level.
If Mikel Arteta can bring Gabriel alongside Ivan Fresneda (Real Valladolid teenager), Arsenal would surely have two future stars at their club.
With multiple teams interested in signing him though, competition for Gabri Veiga’s signature is expected to be high this summer.
