Roberto Calenda, Victor Osimhen’s agent, has urged Italian top flight referees to take extra steps to protect his client from dangerous opponents.
This season has seen the 24-year-old receive plenty of praise due to his stellar performances for Serie A leaders Napoli – scoring 14 goals in 16 appearances, with one goal being nominated as a ‘goal of the season’ nominee.
He was also previously injured and missed out on action for three months last year, as well as missing the Africa Cup of Nations.
With numerous dangerous fouls against him this season too, Calenda wants to ensure that his man is protected.
