JAMB to sanction CBT centres with UTME bulk registration

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will sanction any Computer Based Test (CBT) Centers found to have purchased UTME pins in bulk or to have collected fees from candidates for more than one pin.

JAMB Registrar Professor Ishaq Oloyede stated this during a monitoring tour of CBT Centers in Abuja, noting that such practices are a way of extorting parents.

He encouraged candidates to report such cases, offering rewards for doing so.

Furthermore, he declared that the sale of the 2023 UTME enrolment would close on February 14th and will not be extended further.

According to Professor Oloyede, over 1.16 million students have already registered for the exam.
