The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the results for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). More than 1.9 million candidates participated in the computer-based examination, which aims to rank candidates seeking admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions.
According to the Registrar of JAMB, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, the results can now be checked by the candidates who sat for the exam. However, it was revealed that the board has withheld the results of 64,624 candidates due to possible infractions. Investigations are currently underway regarding these withheld results.
Out of the total of 1,989,668 registered candidates, 80,810 were absent during the examination. A total of 1,904,189 candidates successfully took the UTME within the six-day period. The results of a total of 1,842,464 candidates have been released so far. It is important for the candidates to check their results as soon as possible to determine their performance and eligibility for admission into their desired tertiary institutions.
Candidates can access their results through the official JAMB website or by using the designated result-checking platforms. It is advisable for candidates to follow the instructions provided by JAMB to avoid any confusion or delays in accessing their results.
