Jamie Foxx’s health status has been the subject of conflicting reports since he was hospitalized a month ago due to a medical complication.
While some media outlets reported that his family was “preparing for the worst,” his daughter Corinne Foxx took to Instagram to clarify that he had been out of the hospital for weeks and was even playing pickleball.
“Sad to see how the media runs wild,” she wrote on Instagram. “My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!”
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne, 29, said in a statement posted on social media on 12 April.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,” she added. “The family asks for privacy during this time.”
However, specific details about the actor’s illness remain undisclosed.
Foxx was in Georgia filming the forthcoming Netflix film Back in Action when he was taken ill and remains under observation.
