Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has announced that his long-awaited grand wedding reception with wife Priscilla Ojo will take place in Tanzania on May 28, 2025. The announcement came via an Instagram Story shared on May 9, 2025. According to Naija News, Jux playfully shared that this would be their “final” wedding reception, humorously adding that his wife is “tired already” from the several ceremonies they’ve had so far.
The couple, who made their relationship public in July 2024, has already celebrated multiple weddings. They held their traditional and white weddings in Lagos in April 2025, after a prior Islamic traditional wedding in Tanzania in February.
Jux’s lighthearted comment about their upcoming event reflects his fondness for his wife’s efforts, despite her exhaustion. He even mentioned, “On the 28th of May, we have JP reception. The final one, the big one. I’m saying it’s final because my wife is tired already. She has tried because even five, six weddings isn’t enough. I even wanted to go to Rwanda, the place that we met for the first time. But she got no energy. She tried though.”
In a related event, Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke has recently praised Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla’s mother, for including her ex-husband in their daughter’s wedding. This stood in stark contrast to the situation at Nigerian gospel singer Tope Alabi’s daughter’s wedding, where the biological father was notably absent. Ronke commended Iyabo Ojo for her unwavering commitment to her children, despite the absence of their father during their early years.
