In a recent development, a court has given its verdict on the suspension of Governor Ganduje and its implications for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The court issued an interim injunction, directing all parties involved, including the APC, its National Working Committee (NWC), the Kano State Working Committee of the party, and Governor Ganduje himself, to maintain the status quo as of April 15, 2024.

The court’s decision comes ahead of a full hearing on the matter, which is scheduled for April 30. Until then, the court has ordered that the current situation should remain unchanged.

This interim injunction aims to prevent any further disruption or interference pending the final resolution of the case.

Furthermore, Justice Na’abba emphasized that the Kano State Working Committee of the APC should refrain from interfering with the decision of the Ganduje ward executives.

According to the party’s constitution, the endorsement of Governor Ganduje by a two-thirds majority of the party’s ward executives is valid and should be respected.

This verdict carries significant implications for both Governor Ganduje and the APC. It underscores the importance of adhering to internal party processes and respecting the decisions made by party executives.

As the matter progresses to a full hearing, it will be interesting to see how it unfolds and what impact it may have on Nigeria’s politicals.
