In a surprising move, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Femi Gbajabiamila, the current Speaker of the House of Representatives, as his Chief of Staff.
This decision means that Gbajabiamila will not be returning for a sixth term in the upcoming 10th National Assembly.
The announcement was made on Gbajabiamila’s official Facebook page by his Chief of Staff, Olanrewaju Smart Wasiu.
According to the statement, President Tinubu thoroughly evaluated various potential candidates before selecting Gbajabiamila, who is yet to receive his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
