Napoli Faces Tough Decision Over Osimhen to Juventus

Juventus is reportedly pushing hard to sign Napoli’s star striker, Victor Osimhen. The 26-year-old Nigerian forward has become a top target for the Italian giants as they prepare for an attacking overhaul.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the interest from Juventus has been building for months, with Osimhen’s move to Turin becoming more likely by the day.

Pedulla explains that Juventus’ sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, who originally brought Osimhen to Italy during his time at Napoli, is particularly eager to secure his services. As Dusan Vlahovic, Arkadiusz Milik, and Randal Kolo Muani are all expected to leave Juventus, the club is looking to bolster their forward line, making Osimhen the ideal replacement.

While Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray, the Turkish club is unlikely to match the striker’s hefty transfer fee and wages.

This opens the door for Juventus to make a move, especially given that Osimhen has reportedly expressed a strong desire to join the Bianconeri. “Juventus have chosen Victor Osimhen, and the feeling is absolutely reciprocated,” Pedulla writes, hinting that Osimhen’s own preferences could significantly influence the deal.

However, Napoli faces a difficult situation. While the striker’s release clause stands at €75 million, this applies only to foreign clubs. Juventus has already made an opening bid around €85 million, but it was rejected by Napoli.

Yet, with Osimhen’s current contract containing a €15 million net salary renewal clause that Napoli is unlikely to afford, the club may have little choice but to sell.

The future of Osimhen at Napoli could depend on how negotiations unfold in the coming months. If the player insists on a move to Juventus, Napoli may be forced to accept a deal with the Italian champions to avoid losing Osimhen for a lower price when his contract expires.
