Erik ten Hag is the current Manchester United boss, and he has made sure his players understand a few key rules he’s put in place.
Red Devils midfielder Fred has revealed that Ten Hag has posted three specific rules on the walls of the dressing room – no one should be late, no misdeeds should take place, and everyone should help their teammates.
It appears that Ten Hag is having the desired effect, as United are now primed for Champions League qualification and are heading to their first major final since 2021 with a date against Newcastle at Wembley coming up later this month.
In addition to these rules, Ten Hag also implemented a ban on using mobile phones in certain areas of the training ground after suffering a 4-0 defeat by Brentford in August.
Following this loss, Ten Hag made his players cover an extra 13km of running in training – ironically the same distance Brentford outran them during the game.
Vice-captain Bruno Fernandes gave credit to Ten Hag for helping boost United’s confidence levels from last season.
He believes the success they have had this season was due to their newfound confidence and Ten Hag’s method of messaging and management style which has clearly reaped dividends for him and his squad.
