Korede Bello, the singer known for his hit song “Godwin” and semi-gospel/pop song that topped music charts in Nigeria, recently spoke to The New Telegraph about his decision to leave music and pursue a degree in Mass Communication.
Korede emphasized how he loves to learn about how people think and how the world works. He viewed getting a degree as congruent with his profession which is why he made this decision.
Furthermore, Korede believes that writing headlines are similar to writing choruses – catchy, resulting in an emotional reaction.
He feels as though both music and news are languages of emotional connection hence it would be beneficial for him to get educated on his passion.
Lastly, Korede noted that even if someone has all the fame or wealth in the world they can still be unhappy or unsatisfied inside.
