Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has stated that he will not be offering congratulations to Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This comes as a result of Kwankwaso’s perception that the last election was severely flawed and disputed, with many believing it did not faithfully reflect the wishes of Nigerians who had gone out to vote.

Henceforth, Majob Agbo – National publicity secretary of NNPP – released a statement stressing that they reject the said results as they do not meet expectations; moreover, anti-democrats could potentially take advantage of this state of affairs.

Furthermore, dealing with its stronghold being thwarted in most areas, Kwankwaso stated his belief that due process and rule of law should be respected until court rulings have been declared before stating any conclusions.

As such, until this is done, an endorsement cannot be given by NNPP to INEC’s declared ‘winner’.
