Lagos Governor Sanwo-Olu and predecessor Ambode reconcile after public spat

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu paid a visit to his predecessor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on the occasion of Ambode’s 60th birthday celebration.

This visit comes after a public spat between the two politicians prior to the 2019 governorship election, in which Sanwo-Olu emerged as the winner.

Ambode, who served one term in office, lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in the state due to a fallout with President Bola Tinubu and some APC stakeholders.

Despite their previous disagreements, Sanwo-Olu had previously sent his well wishes to Ambode, acknowledging his dedication to the service of Lagos State as a governor and civil servant.
