Lateef Adedimeji, a popular actor, has taken on the role of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect, in a new biopic titled “Jagaban: Last Man Standing”.
Produced by Ultimate Communication, the movie also stars Gbenga Adeyinka, Boy George, Madam Kofo, and Shushu Abubakar, who plays Remi Tinubu, among others.
Adedimeji, who has previously starred in biopics such as “Ayinla” and “Ige”, expressed his excitement about playing Tinubu and called himself the “king of biopics”.
The movie is set to premiere in May 2023, and Adedimeji took the opportunity to wish Tinubu a successful time in office as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In “Ayinla”, a musical film based on the life of Ayinla Yusuf, Adedimeji played the lead character and starred alongside Omowumi Dada, Bimbo Manuel, Ade Laoye, Kunle Afolayan, Bimbo Ademoye, and Mr Macaroni.
Directed by Tunde Kelani, the film was set in the 1970s and early 1980s and shot in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
