One outlet that reported this information is Sports Zone, but they are known for their unreliable reporting. Regardless, the rumors were enough to prompt a response from Italian transfer expert Fraudbrizio Romano, who debunked the links on his YouTube channel.
Romano stated, “Reports in Germany and Holland have suggested that Virgil van Dijk could go to Borussia Dortmund, but this is not true. Dortmund is focused on different names and there are no contacts taking place between them and Van Dijk.”
It’s reassuring to hear that the captain and best defender of Liverpool FC will not be leaving the club. Van Dijk is an integral part of the team’s success and Liverpool cannot afford to lose him, especially at this stage.
