Lazio President Claudio Lotito has come forward to shed further light on his disagreement with Jose Mourinho that occurred on March 19th after the Derby della Capitale.
According to Lotito, he and Mourinho got into a disagreement when he tried to separate two players – Gianluca Mancini and Alessio Romagnoli – who were fighting in the dressing room after the match.
Lotito stated that while attempting to break up the fight, Mourinho did not recognize him as the president of Lazio and began shouting at him.
During this altercation, Lotito claims that there was a Roma player walking by completely naked, which angered him.
Ultimately though, no physical altercation occurred between the two; it was a problem of ‘roles that have to be respected’, according to Lotito.
It remains unclear if any further action will be taken against them by Serie A.
