Dean Smith has been appointed as the new manager of Leicester City until the end of the current season, with John Terry joining the backroom staff.
The team, currently in 19th place in the Premier League table, had been searching for a replacement for former manager Brendan Rodgers, who left last month.
After former Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch pulled out of the running, Smith was chosen to take on the challenge of turning around the team’s form and securing their Premier League status.
Smith’s first match in charge will be against Manchester City on Saturday, with Terry joining the coaching team alongside existing members Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell.
Leicester chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha welcomed Smith to the club and expressed confidence in his leadership and coaching abilities.
