Leicester City Fire Manager Steve Cooper After Five Months in Charge

Leicester City have sacked manager Steve Cooper following a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea.

Steve Cooper replaced former boss Enzo Maresca in June, taking the reins with hopes of guiding Leicester back to their former glory in the top flight.

However, after a rough start to the season, the club’s management felt a change was necessary to reinvigorate the squad and attempt to secure their Premier League status.

The club also confirmed the departures of assistant manager Alan Tate and first-team coach and analyst Steve Rands.

In a statement, Leicester thanked Cooper, Tate, and Rands for their contributions and wished them the best for the future.

First-team coaching duties will now be overseen by coach Ben Dawson, with support from Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes, as Leicester begins the search for a new manager.

The club aims to appoint a permanent replacement as soon as possible.
