Bayer Leverkusen have made a firm decision on Victor Boniface ahead of the 2025-26 season, NaijNaira can report.

According to Sky Sport Germany, new manager Erik ten Hag wants Boniface to stay and has already factored him into his plans.

Leverkusen won’t consider letting the Nigerian striker leave unless they receive a massive offer that’s impossible to reject.

Back in January, Boniface was linked with a big-money move to Al-Nassr, but talks never progressed.

The club has already seen key exits, including Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid, and stars like Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong to Liverpool.

There’s also growing speculation around the future of Granit Xhaka and other first-team regulars.

“Boniface remains highly valued by the new coaching staff,” a club insider told Sky Germany.

Keeping him would help stabilize the squad as Leverkusen prepare for a challenging new campaign under ten Hag.

Boniface was a major part of the squad that went unbeaten two seasons ago, winning the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal.

Despite losing his starting role late last season to Patrik Schick, the Nigerian forward remains a key asset.

Injuries and Schick’s hot streak contributed to the shift, but Boniface still managed to deliver when fit.

He’s recorded 32 goals and 12 assists in 61 games for Leverkusen since joining.

The 23-year-old still has three years left on his contract and is already back training in Spain, working out at the Marbella Football Center.
