Singer Lionel Richie had the opportunity to meet with King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla at a traditional garden party held at Buckingham Palace.
The event was attended by around 8,000 guests, including exceptional volunteers recognized by the Royal Voluntary Service.
Richie, who is set to perform at the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle, praised the King’s work and expressed his excitement for the upcoming event.
The King and Queen Consort were in good spirits as they mingled with guests and charity representatives, including police officers commended for acts of bravery.
The Royal Voluntary Service, a national charity that organizes volunteers to support individuals, communities, and the NHS, launched the Coronation Champions awards to honor volunteers from various backgrounds.
Winners were chosen by a judging panel presided over by Camilla.
