Victor Osimhen’s excellent contribution to Napoli’s 5-0 aggregate victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League has been praised by head coach Luciano Spalletti.
Osimhen scored a brace, including an impressive looping header, in their 3-0 win at the Diego Maradona Stadium.
This was his second goal of the tie following one in their 2-0 first leg win in Frankfurt.
Spalletti acknowledged the Nigerian international’s potential while hailing Osimhen’s ability to create opportunities as well as hold up possession for Napoli.
He emphasised that the pace with which he moves and his power going forward mean he can take his game to even higher levels.
The striker has notched 22 goals for Napoli this season, 19 of them coming in Serie A, since joining from Lille for €70 million last summer.
With the club now through to the quarterfinals of the Champions League, expectations are high that Osimhen will continue his good form and help facilitate success for Napoli.
