On Thursday, Seyi Makinde, Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), welcomed Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to his office in Ibadan.
The visit was accompanied by Ekiti State’s immediate past governor Kayode Fayemi, Bisi Akande and other APC leaders.
A meeting ensued, while APC supporters awaited Tinubu’s arrival at Mapo Hall, where the party’s rally is scheduled for today.
It should be noted that Makinde had previously snubbed PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar during a presidential campaign rally, despite being one of five governors who demanded the resignation of PDP National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu as a condition for supporting Atiku.
