A group within the Osun All Progressives Congress (APC), Osun State, called Blue Movement, has declared that only former governor Rauf Aregbesola can ask his followers to campaign for the party during the coming general elections.
The group made this known during their weekly meeting of Blue Movement in Osogbo/Olorunda local governments.
The leader of the group, Wale Alabi spoke on behalf of the members and stated they are loyal to Aregbesola and his political ideologies.
He also added that they have yet to receive a directive from Aregbesola concerning joining the presidential campaign in Osun since there was no official invitation from the APC leadership.
Alabi mentioned earlier events leading up to these issues where internal disputes were rising between Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and current governor Adegboyega Oyetola, both of APC.
Despite all this, Alabi maintained that they are still awaiting Aregbesola’s call before making a move.
