Makinde Renames Oyo State-Owned Varsity After Late Ajimobi

During the second convocation of the state-owned Technical University (Tech U) in Ibadan, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde announced that he would be renaming the institution after his late predecessor, Abiola Ajimobi.

The governor, who is also a visitor to the university, praised the institution for its progress and announced that it would now be known as Sen. Abiola Ajimobi First Technical University, Ibadan.

Makinde also stated that his administration would appoint the Governing Council of the university before the end of April and approve a “Category 3 Primary Health Centre” for the institution.
