The Premier League has referred Manchester City to an independent commission in light of alleged breaches of its financial rules.
The suspected financial rule violations are believed to have taken place between the 2009-10 season to 2017-18, and pertain to the accurate disclosure of revenue, related parties, operating costs, manager remuneration, and player contracts.
Additionally, they also relate to alleged non-compliance with UEFA Financial Fair Play regulations and the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules.
Finally, Manchester City is further accused of disobeying league requests for cooperation during investigations from December 2018 onward.
